About Patricia A. Murray

Patricia A. Murray is the host of Bull City Notes & TV Skywriter on Firetalk. Bull City Notes airs daily and focuses on what’s happening in the city of Durham, North Carolina.

Patricia publishes the Durham Skywriter, “Durham, North Carolina’s online community paper.” Although the Durham Skywriter is a monthly publication, it’s updated every day. The website describes it as “all-positive, monthly, interactive, continuously updated.”

Unlike the Durham Skywriter and Bull City Notes, TV Skywriter is for a worldwide audience. Airing Sundays at 7pm ET, approximately half of the guests on TV Skywriter are from Durham, and the rest come from across the United States and around the world.

“It’s very exciting to hear from viewers from Japan, Liberia, and Brazil! I interview authors, entrepreneurs, musicians, and other creative people who’d like to be heard (and seen),” Patricia said.

The show originally started as Radio Skywriter on WNCU, a local NPR station, in Durham, NC. After moving the show online, Patricia hosted TV Skywriter on Google Plus and later Blab, before making her home on Firetalk.

In addition to her daily reports and interview shows on Firetalk, Patricia goes out “into the field” to makes videos, documenting important events, conducting interviews, highlighting local artists and businesses, and even doing some freelance work on the side. Her videos can be viewed on her YouTube channel.
